FAQ's
- Who operates the plane? The charter is run by Southwest Airlines pilots and stewardesses. Don't worry, the coaches will not be flying the plane 😂
- Is this only for Bay to Bay players? While we open booking to Bay to Bay families first, if there are still open seats we open reservations to any Bay Area volleyball families!
- Are there any bag fees? No! Another benefit of flying Bay to Bay air.
- When do I get my ticket? Charter flight tickets have to be picked up at the Southwest airlines ticket counter when you arrive to the airport for your flight. There are no digital tickets for charter flights, you must pick up a physical ticket.
- Do I go through normal security? Yes! You will go through security just like a normal flight, our charter will be assigned a specific gate the day of travel.

Why OAK?
Oakland International Airport is Southwest's Bay Area hub location. Booking charter flights to/from hubs lowers the overall cost of the charter.
When you book a charter to a "non-hub" airport you have to pay for the plane to fly back to a hub (booking out of hub airports keeps the price to the absolute minimum!)
What to expect:
Bay to Bay Air is like a volleyball only Southwest return flight. By booking a full charter, we are able to keep the prices well below the retail price of a return trip (as long as we fill the plane).
We keep initial booking open for one week to ensure we have enough demand to pay for the charter. Once we hit our minimum number, we open up reservations to all Bay Area families.
If we do not hit our minimum number of reservations, all deposits are refunded and the charter is not booked.
